Let’s talk about something we all experience but rarely address: the prison of our own minds.
You’ve been there. Stuck in a loop of thoughts you didn’t ask for. Overwhelmed by emotions that feel bigger than life itself. Dragging yourself through the day, weighed down by an invisible heaviness.
So, how to break free. First know the symptoms of an ill mind. If you know them, you have the problem, I will discuss the solution then.
Let’s start.
1. Overconsumption of Thought
Think about this: When you overeat, you feel sluggish. But did you know overthinking does the same?
It’s not about thinking consciously—that’s necessary. It’s about being consumed by thought. When your mind races without your permission, when thoughts flow endlessly like a river you can’t control, it drains you. You don’t want to move. You don’t want to act. You just want to stay in bed, trapped in a mental fog.
The Fix:
- Pause. When you notice your thoughts spiraling, stop. Take a deep breath. Remind yourself: “These are just thoughts. They are not me.”
- Move. Physical activity breaks the cycle. Walk, stretch, dance—do anything to shift your energy.
- Consume Thought Wisely. Don’t let thought consume you. Choose where to focus your mind, rather than letting it run wild.
2. Strong Conclusions
Here’s the truth: Your mind loves drama. It creates stories, builds conclusions, and convinces you they’re real. “I’m not good enough.” “This will never work.” “They don’t care about me.”
The stronger your conclusions, the more you identify with them. Your psychological drama starts to feel like reality. But it’s not. It’s just a story you’re telling yourself.
The Fix:
- Stop Making Conclusions. Life isn’t a fixed equation. Leave the doors of your mind open. Let experiences flow without labeling them as “good” or “bad.”
- Be the Director of Your Drama. If your mind insists on creating stories, at least make them empowering. Rewrite the script.
- Step into the Existential Drama. Life itself is a grand, beautiful play. Don’t miss it by getting lost in the tiny drama of your mind.
3. Overusing Intellect
Your intellect is a powerful tool—but it’s not the only tool. Imagine trying to sew with a knife. That’s what happens when you use intellect for everything. You cut, dissect, and analyze until life feels like a pile of fragments.
This isn’t just about the world around you. It’s about you. When you overuse intellect, you split yourself into pieces. You become disconnected—from others, from nature, even from your own body.
The Fix:
- Awaken Other Dimensions of Intelligence. Your heart beats, your liver functions, your breath flows—not because of intellect, but because of a deeper intelligence within you. Tap into it.
- Stop Cutting, Start Connecting. Use your intellect when needed, but don’t let it dominate. Feel. Sense. Experience.
- Reunite with Life. Notice the beauty of creation. The trees, the sky, the wind—they’re all alive, just like you. When you connect with them, you reconnect with yourself.
Step Out of the Prison
Your mind can be a prison or a playground. The choice is yours.
Start today:
- Notice Your Thoughts. Don’t fight them. Just observe.
- Drop Your Conclusions. Let life surprise you.
- Engage Your Whole Being. Think, but also feel. Analyze, but also experience.
Joy isn’t something you chase. It’s something you uncover when you step out of the mental fog and into the beauty of existence.
P.S. The world is waiting for you—not the version of you trapped in your mind, but the one who’s free to dance with life.
